Centre for Competency Development
Established as a part of CIGI’s 20th anniversary celebrations, Centre for Competency Development was the end result of deliberations and constant dialogues among CIGI intelligentsia on the lack of competency in students and job seekers.
In 2016, the first initiative of its kind Mission 100 C4C or building 100 Centres for Competency Development across Kerala was taken up. A Centre for Competency instituted under C4C is an independent centre accredited to and monitored by CIGI and envisioned to enhance the competency of students, nurture their talent, develop their skills, and direct them in their pursuit of better life and career.
The project was built on a belief that the accomplishment of this mission would provide a solution for this affecting condition and lead to a massive transformation in the current occupational and educational state of the community. CIGI successfully completed this mission of establishing 100 centres in 2019 and they continue their mission developing competency among the needy.
As the pandemic swept through the globe, we decided to create a novel model for competency development through ‘C-Circle’s (Competency Circles’. The C-Cirlce’s are WhatsApp based online groups through which aspirants are equipped to face competitive examination. This is done through regular updates of study materials and daily, week and monthly tests.
Started in 2020, our mission, of creating ‘1000 C-Circles’, was accomplished in a short span of time with people from across the state joining this initiative.
