In Kannur University the admission programme leads to Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject. Each Programme extends for a period of four semesters. The Programme of study will be by regular attendance for the requisite number of lectures, practical training and other means. All PG programmes shall be completed within the maximum period of four years.

Eligibility: Notwithstanding anything contained in the Statutes, the selection of students in Government colleges shall be governed by the rules prescribed by the Government from time to time with the concurrence of the University in respect of such admissions. PG programme under Faculty of Science the candidate should need to have not less than 50% or equivalent GPA in their respective subjects. PG Programmes under the Faculty of Technology the candidate should need to have not less than 50% marks/grade or 45% marks/grade in case of candidates belonging to reserved category. PG Programmes under the Faculty of Humanities the candidate should need to have not less than 45% and also 70% in other subjects not including subsidiaries. PG Programmes under the Faculty of Social Science the candidate should need to have not less than 45%. PG Programmes under Faculty of Language & Literature the candidate should need to have not less than 45%. PG Programmes under Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies the candidate should need to have their UG degree not less than 45%.

Selection: .Admissions to the seats to be filled by the University for the Post Graduate Degree Programmes (except those specifically mentioned) are regulated on the basis of the marks/grade points obtained in the qualifying examination. The admission to the PG Degree Programme under Credit Based Semester System in the Arts and Science Colleges affiliated to the Kannur University will be made on the basis of Online Centralized Allotment. The Online allotment process will provide the candidates with an opportunity of obtaining admission to any of the Colleges/Programmes of the University of the choice of the candidate on the basis of merit.

B.Sc. Poultry Production and Business Management at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University

The KVASU came into existence on 14th June, 2010, as per Ordinance number 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala. The University hence is the product of continuous and genuine pursuit and sustained dream of many people, who initiated the efforts since the mid-nineties. The establishment is also the result of the recognition of the need to advance animal production sector activities and to widen the arena of academic opportunities, applied research and entrepreneurship in the field of animal health, production and allied subjects. The University is a public funded University with headquarters at Pookode, Wayanad, and the powers of the University are vested in its authorities –the Management Council and the Board of Management. The university has called up for admission 2023-2024 in B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management).

Eligibility: For B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management) 50 % marks in Plus two or VHSE of any stream.

Selection: The University will publish a rank list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur and College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad. The selection for the BSc will be done from the corresponding rank list according to the rank, options and the reservation policies persist, through offline allotment process. The students have to attend the counselling process on the date notified by the University in the rank list.

An application fee of Rs.1000/- for General and Others and those candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories of Kerala origin should remit Rs. 500/- as the application fee (excluding bank processing charges). After remitting application fee, candidate should take the print out of the fee receipt

Tech/ M.Sc./ B.Sc. P.G. Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology BVSc & AH / BVSc and VCI registration. P.G. Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesiology- BVSc & AH / BVSc and VCI registration.
