Indian Institute of Technology Madras is an institute of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for fostering excellence in education. The BS Program in Medical Sciences & Engineering is a game changing interdisciplinary program that bridges Medicine & Engineering. The courses in the program will be taught by both medical & engineering faculty, and will provide a strong research base for students. The course structure involves an internship in a hospital to tie theory and practice.

Eligibility: All candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can appear for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2023. The successful candidates meeting the Class XII (or equivalent) performance criterion are eligible for admission into IIT Madras, for the BS in Medical Sciences and Engineering program.

Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.Candidates must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) exam with science stream in 2022 or 2023 from any board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE. Candidates must have taken Mathematics as a subject and at least two subjects among Biology, Chemistry, and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Candidates belonging to other categories should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.

Candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) exam results are not yet declared, can apply for admission to the B.S. program in Medical Sciences and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. However, their admission will be provisional and confirmed subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria given above.

Selection: : Applicants will go through an entrance test which will assess their English language and quantitative capacities and writing and analytical skills. Shortlisted applicants will be called for personal interviews.

Application processing fee: Rs.500 for GEN/OBC-NCL, EWS; Rs. 250 for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.

B.Sc. Poultry Production and Business Management at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University

The KVASU came into existence on 14th June, 2010, as per Ordinance number 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala. The University hence is the product of continuous and genuine pursuit and sustained dream of many people, who initiated the efforts since the mid-nineties. The establishment is also the result of the recognition of the need to advance animal production sector activities and to widen the arena of academic opportunities, applied research and entrepreneurship in the field of animal health, production and allied subjects. The University is a public funded University with headquarters at Pookode, Wayanad, and the powers of the University are vested in its authorities –the Management Council and the Board of Management. The university has called up for admission 2023-2024 in B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management).

Eligibility: For B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management) 50 % marks in Plus two or VHSE of any stream.

Selection: The University will publish a rank list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur and College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad. The selection for the BSc will be done from the corresponding rank list according to the rank, options and the reservation policies persist, through offline allotment process. The students have to attend the counselling process on the date notified by the University in the rank list.
