Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations: Drawing Competition for Gramadeepam Students

Kozhikode: In celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, CIGI Gramadeepam organised a pencil drawing competition on October 2nd, 2023, centered around the theme of "Salt Satyagraha." This event garnered widespread enthusiasm, attracting participation from students across the state and spanning categories for UP, HS,and HSS students. At the district level, exceptional talent was showcased as Devathej P K from Kannur District, Sama K from Kozhikkode District, and Asiya from Thiruvananthapuram District claimed victories in the UP category. In the HS category, Afthab Aboobacker from Kannur District, Shima Fathima P A from Thrissur District, and Mazin Mansoor K in Virtual Gramadeepam secured their positions as winners. On the state level, the competition intensified, with Devathej PK from Kannur and Sama K from Kozhikode sharing the first prize in the UP category, their artworks leaving a lasting impression. In the HS category, Afthab Aboobacker from Kannur demonstrated unparalleled creativity, earning the top position, while in the HSS category,Fathima Zimna Sanam from Kannur showcased extraordinary talent, bagging the first prize.This event not only celebrated the artistic talents of the youth but also paid tribute to the enduring legacy of the Salt Satyagraha movement, promoting the spirit of creativity and reverence for Mahatma Gandhi's ideals.
