Published on 16 August 2026
Kozhikode: The Gramadeepam Mobile Application, developed as part of CIGI’s initiative to promote skill development among children at the grassroots level and guide them toward better career opportunities, was officially launched at the CIGI Campus in Chevayur, Kozhikode. The mobile application was created to extend the activities of the Gramadeepam Project to a wider audience and to make its learning and development initiatives more accessible, engaging, and interactive.
Through the application, children can access a variety of regular quiz competitions, knowledge-based tasks, skill development activities, and learning opportunities aimed at enhancing their knowledge and nurturing their talents. Beyond strengthening confidence and practical skills, the project focuses on identifying students' core interests early on to guide them toward suitable educational and career pathways in rural communities.
The mobile application was formally launched by prominent industrialists C.M. Najeeb, Jareesh T.K., and Dr. Najeeb. The ceremony was attended by CIGI President Dr. A.B. Moideen Kutty, General Secretary Dr. Z.A. Ashraf, Talent Nurturing Centre Director Shabeera P.T., Gramadeepam Project Director Naseeba Basheer, Ashraf Kadoor, Engineer Muhammedkutty, and Anas Bichu, among others.
