
NMMS 2024 EXAM
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam for Class VIII students is scheduled for November 16, 2024.
Students can submit their applications through their respective schools starting from September 23, 2024.
The last date for application submission is Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
NMMS Exam Pattern.
The NMMS exam consists of two sections, each lasting 90 minutes:
Part 1: Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- 90 multiple-choice questions designed to assess the students' mental ability.
- The questions will cover areas such as:
- Similarity detection
- Classification
- Numeric sequences
- Pattern identification
- Hidden form detection
Part 2: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
- 90 multiple-choice questions focused on non-linguistic subjects:
-Sociology: 35 questions
-Basic Science: 35 questions
-Mathematics: 20 questions
The SAT will include questions based on the Kerala syllabus up to the second term of Class VIII, as well as related concepts from lower classes. Students should expect high-level thinking questions across all subjects.
Marking Scheme
- Each question in both MAT and SAT carries 1 mark.
Languages Available
- The question paper will be available in English, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
- The language of the question paper will be based on the choice selected in the online application.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, candidates must secure at least 40% marks in both the MAT and SAT sections.
For students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons With Disabilities (PWD) categories, the minimum required score is 32%.
