DASA UG 2024 - APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process for the DASA scheme, which facilitates admission to NITs and IIITs for Indian students living abroad, will commence on June 10.

NIT Raipur is managing the admission process this year for the DASA scheme.
Students who have passed the JEE Main 2024 exam, studied classes 11 and 12 abroad, and achieved at least 75 percent marks are eligible to apply.

The DASA scheme has two categories:
1.Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG): This is for students from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Iran. The fee is INR 1,25,000 per year. They can also apply for NRI status, which costs USD 4,000.

2.DASA for SAARC and non-SAARC countries: Students from these regions can apply with a fee of USD 2,000.
However, children of expatriates who have studied in India cannot apply through this scheme. Also, students who have spent many years in the Gulf but studied classes 11 and 12 in India are not eligible.
Through the DASA scheme, admissions are available for a total of 66 institutions, including National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), central government-funded technical institutes, and schools of planning and architecture.
The registration fee is $300.
