Vellore Christian Medical College Opens Applications for Admission
Vellore Christian Medical College is now accepting applications for admission to various programs for 2025. The tuition fees are very affordable, with the first-year MBBS tuition fee at just Rs 3,000 and a total fee of Rs 84,330.
For details on government regulations, visit www.tnmgrmu.ac.in. The website also provides access to the admission bulletin for Group A and B courses and allows online applications.
The deadline to submit the online application is March 28, and any required documents must reach Vellore by April 1. Except for NEET, the entrance exam dates and other details can be found in the prospectus.

Group A (MGR Medical University Courses)
1. MBBS
- Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2025 (national-level entrance exam).
- NEET marks, all-India rank, and other details must be submitted on the CMC website on time.
- Total seats: 100
- Management quota: 50 seats (Open – 2, Minority – 38, CMC Staff – 10)
- Government quota: 50 seats (Christian – 30, General – 20)
- Selection for all seats is based on NEET rank.
2. Other Group A (Bachelor’s) Programs
- Courses offered: BSc Nursing, BOT, BPT, Medical Lab Technology, Optometry, BSc Medical Records, Audiology, Critical Care, Dialysis Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Prosthetics, Radiography, Radiotherapy, Medical Sociology, Cardiopulmonary Perfusion.
- Candidates can apply for up to 7 courses in Group A, including MBBS.
Group B (SIMAC Certificate Courses - Not Affiliated with the University)
1. Diploma Courses
- Nursing, Radio Diagnosis, Urology Technology, Anaesthesia & Critical Care Technology (Chittoor Campus), Hand & Leprosy Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology, Sterilization Technology, Optometry.
2. PG Diploma Courses
- Histopathology Lab Technology, Medical Microbiology, Cardiac Technology, Cytogenetics, Genetic Diagnosis Technology, Community Health Management, Hospital Administration, Health Economics, Clinical Pastoral Counseling, Hospital Equipment Maintenance, Dietetics.
- Candidates can apply for up to 5 courses in Group B, but they should not have more than two entrance exam papers.
- Entrance exams for Group A and B (except MBBS) will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.
