IISER ADMISSION TEST 2024 NOTIFICATION

IISER-The application will be accessible starting April 1st.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), supported by the Union Ministry of Education, offers programs in basic science subjects. They're currently seeking applications for different programs they offer seven campuses.

The institute has seven campuses located in Thiruvananthapuram, Mohali, Kolkata, Pune, Bhopal, Tirupati, and Berhampur. These campuses offer Bachelor's and Integrated Bachelor's programs in Science subjects, as well as Master's, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. The notification for bachelor's, integrated bachelor's, and master's programs, open to students who have completed their plus two in science, has been released.

B.S. - MS Dual Degree Programs:
IISER offers five-year BS-MS dual degree programs in Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth and Climate Sciences, Geological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Integrated and Interdisciplinary Sciences. The first two years cover foundational courses common to all students. The subsequent two years focus on specialized study in a chosen major subject, followed by a final year primarily dedicated to research.

The Thiruvananthapuram campus of IISER provides B.S. and M.S. programs in Basic Sciences (Biological, Chemical, Mathematical, and Physical) as well as Integrated and Interdisciplinary Sciences (Biological, Chemical, Data Sciences, Mathematical, and Physical).

Only IISER Bhopal offers four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S) programs in Engineering Sciences (Chemical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science) and Economic Sciences.

ELIGIBILTY:
To be eligible for admission, students must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/PWD candidates) in the plus two science stream during the years 2022, 2023, or 2024. Marks obtained in the second year will be taken into consideration. Additionally, candidates must have studied at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. However, for admission to the four-year B.S program, Mathematics must have been studied in the plus two curriculum.
Admission is exclusively through IAT.
Starting this year, all seats will be allocated exclusively through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). The examination is scheduled for June 9th and will be conducted as a three-hour computer-based test. It will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions each from mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology subjects. Correct answers will earn 4 marks, while incorrect answers will incur a deduction of one mark. The total marks for the exam will be 240. The syllabus, previous year's questions, and mock tests will be accessible on the official website www.iiseradmission.in.

APPLICATION:
Candidates can submit their applications via www.iiseradmission.in from April 1st to May 13th. The application fee is Rs 2000, while SC/PWD candidates need only pay Rs 1000. One application is applicable for all seven campuses. Once the exam results are announced, candidates interested in joining IISERs must indicate their preferred order of campuses online.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
Some students receive Inspire scholarships according to the guidelines set by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.
The IAT score will also be utilized for admission to the Bachelor of Science (BS) research program at IISc Bengaluru. Separate applications must be submitted on the IISc website by May 7th, and for the four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program conducted by IIT Madras. Additionally, the IAT score is considered for admission to the Medical Science and Engineering program.
